This marks the first new sunscreen active ingredient approved in the United States in more than 25 years under modernized evaluation guidelines, aiming to expand access to next-generation UV protection and offer new possibilities for formulators. Clinical studies involving nearly 500 participants demonstrated the ingredient's exceptional UV efficacy, excellent tolerability, and safety profile, addressing consumer needs from reducing skin cancer risk to protecting against long-term UV damage.
