Weight-Loss Supplement Recalled Nationwide After FDA Finds Undisclosed Drug, Toxic Chemical

A Florida-based supplement maker, Ana Salazar Modela Tu Cuerpo Inc., has issued a nationwide recall for its Lipofit Extreme Fat Burner 2.0 after the FDA discovered it contained undeclared fluoxetine (an antidepressant) and 2,4-dinitrophenol (DNP), a toxic industrial chemical. DNP has no approved medical use and is linked to fatal overdoses. The recall covers Lot 25M12F with an expiration date of September 2027.
