DRC Ebola Outbreak Records Additional Cases and Fatalities

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) reported 59 new confirmed Ebola cases and 39 deaths in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as of August 30, 2026. This brings the total confirmed cases to 6,100, with 2,950 fatalities, primarily in Ituri, North Kivu, Haut Uele, and Bas Uele provinces. Meanwhile, Uganda has declared its Ebola outbreak concluded, highlighting differing regional statuses of the disease.
