US FDA Grants Fast-Track Status to BioVersys for New Antimicrobial BV100

The U.S. FDA has granted Fast-Track Designation to BioVersys AG for its investigational antimicrobial agent, BV100. This designation accelerates the development and review of BV100, recognizing the urgent need for new treatments against serious infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii-calcoaceticus complex, particularly hospital-acquired or ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia.
