Study in NEJM suggests flexible timing for PCI in TAVI patients

An international study published in the New England Journal of Medicine indicates that for patients with severe aortic stenosis and obstructed coronary arteries, reversing the order of interventions (Transcatheter Aortic-Valve Implantation (TAVI) before Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)) can be a safe strategy. This approach may allow for re-evaluation of the actual need for a stent after TAVI, leading to a more personalized treatment strategy.
