New siRNA Therapy Shows Significant, Lasting Reduction in Cardiovascular Risk Factor Lp(a)

A Phase 1 trial of Kylo-11, a novel siRNA therapy, demonstrated profound and durable reductions in lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) levels, a genetic risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. A single dose was well tolerated, achieving up to a 97% median reduction at 48 weeks. This early-stage success suggests a potential new treatment avenue for a significant cardiovascular risk.
