FDA Accepts Application for Nebulized Tyvaso to Treat Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

United Therapeutics Corporation announced the FDA's acceptance of its supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for nebulized Tyvaso (treprostinil) Inhalation Solution for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). The application is supported by positive Phase 3 TETON-1 and TETON-2 study results, showing improved forced vital capacity over placebo. If approved, Tyvaso would be the first inhaled anti-fibrotic treatment for IPF, potentially offering a new therapeutic option.
