Mayo Clinic researchers have developed and tested an artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted method that allows individuals without prior ultrasound experience to capture focused heart images and identify signs of moderate or greater aortic stenosis. Published in JAMA Cardiology, the study showed that after just four hours of training, novice users could effectively collect and analyze images, potentially improving early detection of this common heart valve condition.
