Study Highlights Rising Age of Tuberculosis Diagnosis in Zimbabwe, Urging Adapted Services

A new University of Bristol-led study, published in The Lancet Regional Health - Africa, reveals that the average age of tuberculosis diagnosis in Zimbabwe has increased by approximately 12 years over a 24-year period. This finding underscores the critical need for adapting tuberculosis services to cater to an aging population, as older adults are increasingly living with chronic diseases that heighten their risk of contracting the infection.
