FDA Approves Mimrylo (Rusfertide) for Erythrocytosis in Adults with Polycythemia Vera

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Mimrylo (rusfertide), a first-in-class hepcidin mimetic, for the treatment of erythrocytosis in adults with polycythemia vera. This approval is supported by the Phase 3 VERIFY trial, which demonstrated that Mimrylo significantly improved hematocrit control and reduced the need for phlebotomies.
