Pulmonary Artery Denervation Trial Shows Significant Benefit for Heart Disease Patients

Results from the PADN-HF-PH trial, evaluating Pulmonary Artery Denervation (PADN) for pulmonary hypertension associated with left heart disease, were published in The New England Journal of Medicine. The study demonstrated a 51% reduction in clinical worsening risk and a 35.5% decrease in recurrent clinical events for patients receiving PADN plus guideline-directed medical therapy. This suggests a promising new treatment approach for a serious heart condition.
