Long-Term Clinical Data Supports Disease-Modifying Potential of Zorevunersen for Dravet Syndrome

Stoke Therapeutics and Biogen presented 4-year data from Phase 1/2a open-label extension studies of zorevunersen, an investigational antisense oligonucleotide for Dravet syndrome, at the 16th European Epilepsy Congress (EEC). The data showed substantial and durable reductions in seizures and continuing improvements in cognition and behavior in patients treated with zorevunersen in addition to standard anti-seizure medicines. An exploratory sub-analysis also indicated significant reductions in the most severe seizure types, which are a leading risk factor for sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP).
