New AI Tool Detects Heart Disease in Seconds; Urine Test Shows High Accuracy for Bladder Cancer

A new 'superhuman' tool developed by Imperial College London can detect heart disease in seconds by scanning electrocardiograms (ECGs) for information beyond human cardiologists' perception, showing up to 93% accuracy in a trial of 67,000 patients. Additionally, a UK trial of the Galeas urine test, led by the University of Birmingham, correctly identified 92.2% of bladder cancer cases among 964 patients, offering a less invasive diagnostic method. The bladder cancer study was peer-reviewed and published in European Urology Oncology.
