Singapore Issues Health Advisory as Haze Reaches Unhealthy Levels
Singaporean government agencies have issued a health advisory after the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) entered the unhealthy range (101) at 7 AM in the central region on September 4, 2026. This marks the first time the PSI has reached this level due to haze since October 2023. The advisory recommends reducing outdoor activities, staying hydrated, and for vulnerable persons (elderly, pregnant women, children, and those with chronic heart and lung conditions) to have medications readily available and seek prompt medical attention if unwell.
