CDC and FDA Update E. coli Outbreak Linked to Frozen Blueberries, Recall Issued

The CDC and FDA have provided updated information on an ongoing outbreak of E. coli O145:H28 illnesses linked to IQF (frozen) blueberries imported from Chile. The updated case count includes 17 people infected in Florida and Georgia, with six hospitalizations. In response, Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. of San Carlos, Chile, has recalled Great Value Organic Triple Berry Blend due to potential E. coli contamination.
