American Regent Recalls Epinephrine Injections Due to Cracked Vials and Particulate Matter

American Regent has issued a nationwide voluntary recall for three lots of Epinephrine Injection, USP 30 mg/30 mL (1 mg/mL) multi-dose vials. The recall was initiated following customer complaints of leaking and cracked vials, which compromises sterility. Investigations also revealed the presence of particulate matter, posing risks such as vascular blockages, loss of blood flow to organs, and fatal pulmonary embolism if injected intravenously.
