Federal Agencies Partner to Create New Emergency Alert System for Missing Persons with Autism

A new initiative, the Autism Missing and Endangered Person Alert Initiative, has been announced by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This partnership aims to utilize existing emergency alert systems and protocols to specifically help locate missing adults and children with autism, improving coordination among first responders, law enforcement, and community partners.
