Lifestyle Programs Significantly Improve Cognition in Older Adults at Risk of Dementia
A two-year study, LatAm-FINGERS, presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC) 2026, found that older adults at risk of dementia who followed lifestyle programs combining exercise, healthy eating, cognitive training, and social engagement showed improved memory and thinking. Participants receiving regular coaching and structured support improved substantially more than those given general health advice.
