Clover Biopharmaceuticals Announces Positive Phase 2 Data for RSV + hMPV ± PIV3 Combination Vaccine Candidates in Older Adults

Clover Biopharmaceuticals has reported positive preliminary data from a Phase 2 clinical trial in Australia for its SCB-1022 (RSV + hMPV) and SCB-1033 (RSV + hMPV + PIV3) protein-based vaccine candidates. The results in older adults demonstrated robust neutralizing antibody responses across RSV, hMPV, and PIV3, with no immune interference and sustained responses in participants aged 75 and older. The vaccines were generally well-tolerated, with mostly mild and transient adverse events. These findings strengthen the potential of these combination vaccines to restore and broaden protection in individuals previously vaccinated against RSV.
