New Guidelines Recommend Early Chronic Kidney Disease Screening for All Cardiovascular Patients

Joint guidelines from the European Society of Cardiology and the European Renal Association now recommend that everyone diagnosed with cardiovascular disease be screened immediately for chronic kidney disease. This screening involves one blood sample and one urine sample, aiming to detect kidney issues earlier than previous recommendations which primarily targeted patients with diabetes or high blood pressure.
