UK Health Security Agency Urges Parents to Vaccinate Children Against Flu This Autumn

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is encouraging parents across the country to ensure their children receive the flu vaccination this autumn. This call comes after figures revealed that only 55.5% of eligible primary school children received the nasal spray vaccine during the 2025/2026 season, leaving approximately 2.5 million young pupils unprotected. Vaccinating children not only provides them with vital protection against the virus but also helps prevent its spread to vulnerable individuals in the community, such as younger siblings and grandparents. The nationwide rollout in classrooms began this week.
