Parkland Study Shows Universal Aspirin Prescription Significantly Reduces Severe Preeclampsia

A study by Parkland Health and UT Southwestern found that prescribing a daily low-dose aspirin tablet to every pregnant patient at their first prenatal visit led to a significant decrease in severe preeclampsia, a leading cause of maternal and infant mortality. The study observed a more than 25% drop in severe complications across various demographics with no detectable adverse effects.
