Tylenol Use During Pregnancy Potentially Linked to Changes in Daughters' Reproductive Organs

New research suggests a potential link between a mother's use of Tylenol (acetaminophen/paracetamol) during pregnancy and changes in the reproductive organ development of baby girls. The study observed that three-month-old girls exposed to Tylenol in utero had, on average, smaller ovarian and uterine volumes and fewer ovarian follicles. Researchers emphasize that the study does not prove causation and long-term follow-up is needed to determine implications for future fertility.
