NIH Funds Broad Access Trial for Experimental ALS Drug NUZ-001
The United States National Institutes of Health (NIH) has committed to funding a multimillion-dollar program to provide up to 200 Americans with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) access to NUZ-001, an experimental treatment from Melbourne-based Neurizon Therapeutics. This Expanded Access Protocol will run alongside an ongoing Phase 2/3 trial, offering the drug for up to 96 weeks to patients ineligible for formal clinical trials.
