New England Journal of Medicine Publishes Positive Phase 3 Data for Oveporexton in Narcolepsy Type 1

Takeda announced that the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) has published results from two Phase 3 studies evaluating oveporexton (ORZEYFUL), an oral orexin receptor 2 (OX2R) agonist, for people with narcolepsy type 1 (NT1). The data demonstrated significant and clinically meaningful improvements in wakefulness, sleepiness, and cataplexy, with oveporexton being the first and only medicine designed to treat the underlying cause of NT1.
