Personalized Treatment Strategy Significantly Extends Survival for High-Risk Multiple Myeloma Patients
New long-term results from the UK-led OPTIMUM (MUKnine) clinical trial, published in The Lancet Oncology, demonstrate that a personalized, risk-adapted treatment strategy significantly improves survival for patients with high-risk multiple myeloma. At approximately six years, 69.1% of patients on the OPTIMUM trial were still alive, compared to about 40% on standard therapy.
