Perioperative Immunotherapy with Durvalumab Improves Survival in Resectable Gastric or Gastroesophageal Junction Cancer

Final overall survival results from the global, randomized Phase 3 MATTERHORN clinical trial, published in The Lancet, demonstrate that adding perioperative durvalumab to standard chemotherapy significantly reduced the risk of death by 22% in patients with localized, resectable gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer. This positions the perioperative durvalumab regimen as a new standard treatment option for this patient population.
