FDA Approves Novel Targeted Therapy for Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

The FDA has approved daraxonrasib (Rasonque), a first-in-class multiselective RAS(ON) inhibitor, for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. This oral therapy is for patients who have received prior systemic treatment or are not candidates for multiagent therapy. The approval is based on the phase III RASolute 302 trial, which showed a nearly doubled median overall survival in previously treated patients, targeting a key driver of tumor growth.
