CDC Warns of Rising Human Rabies Exposure Risk Following Increased Inquiries

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a warning regarding an increased risk of human rabies exposure. From July through August 2026, the CDC observed a 17% rise in rabies-related inquiries compared to the same period in 2025, including reports of mass exposure events.
