CDC Plans Health Study on Children Exposed to 9/11 Toxins

The CDC will launch a significant health study by 2027 to examine the long-term health effects on individuals aged 21 or younger, or in utero, in lower Manhattan or Brooklyn during and after the 9/11 attacks. This initiative addresses a research gap, as prior studies primarily focused on adult survivors and first responders. The study aims to understand the unique health impacts on this younger population.
