CDC Declares Cyclospora Outbreak Linked to Lettuce Officially Over

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that the cyclospora outbreak linked to iceberg lettuce, which sickened 12,883 people across 21 states, is officially over. The CDC stated there is no longer a risk of people getting sick from this source, as the best-by dates for all implicated products have passed and they are no longer available in stores or restaurants. The outbreak, which began in July 2026, was linked to processed iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico.
