Lung Cancer Trial Shows Antibody-Drug Combo Not Superior to Standard Treatment

A Phase 3 clinical trial, EVOKE-03/KEYNOTE-D46, found that sacituzumab govitecan combined with pembrolizumab did not significantly improve progression-free survival compared to pembrolizumab alone for metastatic non-small cell lung cancer with high PD-L1 expression. While the combination showed a higher objective response rate, overall survival was not improved. This indicates the combination did not offer a significant clinical benefit, impacting future treatment strategies for this patient group.
