South Korea Reports Increased Type 1 Diabetes Risk in Siblings of Affected Children and Adolescents
The South Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (질병관리청) announced findings from the country's first large-scale analysis of Type 1 diabetes family history in children and adolescents. The study revealed that siblings of patients with Type 1 diabetes have more than a 10-fold higher risk of developing the condition compared to the general pediatric population.
