A coalition of more than 150 psychiatric associations and mental health charities, led by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, has issued 'The Prague Agreement,' calling on international financial institutions to improve mental healthcare funding. The agreement, published in World Psychiatry, highlights that mental ill-health costs the global economy an estimated US$5 trillion per year, primarily due to lost workforce productivity. It advocates for early intervention, community-based services, and a well-supported mental health workforce.
