The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has declared an end to a widespread cyclosporiasis outbreak that affected nearly 13,000 people across 21 states, leading to 570 hospitalizations and two deaths. The outbreak was linked to contaminated shredded lettuce from central Mexico. The CDC stated there is no longer a risk from this source as contaminated products are no longer available.
