FDA Approves New Breast Cancer Pill and Companion Diagnostic Test

The FDA has approved Etcamah (camizestrant), a new daily oral medication for certain patients with advanced HR-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. Concurrently, the Guardant360 CDx blood test was authorized to detect ESR1 gene mutations, which indicate treatment resistance before it's visible on scans.
