Imfinzi Plus Chemotherapy Significantly Improves 3-Year Survival in Gastric Cancer
Final results from the phase 3 MATTERHORN trial, published in The Lancet, show that Imfinzi (durvalumab) combined with chemotherapy before and after surgery led to a 69% three-year survival rate for patients with gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer, compared to 62% with chemotherapy alone. This represents a 22% reduction in the risk of death.
