FDA Schedules Public Meeting on Testosterone Therapy for Menopausal Women

The FDA will host a public hybrid workshop on September 17, 2026, to examine the risks and benefits of testosterone use in menopausal women. Organized by the Office of Women's Health and Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, the meeting aims to address knowledge gaps regarding testosterone's role in sexual function, cognition, mood, and musculoskeletal health, as well as challenges in measurement and long-term safety data concerning cardiovascular and breast cancer risks.
