FDA Recalls Thyroid Medication Due to 'Super Potency' Risk
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has recalled a lot of Thyroid Tablets, USP 30 mg, manufactured by Vitruvias Therapeutics, after testing revealed the product could be 'superpotent'. Consumption of these tablets could lead to an overactive thyroid, causing symptoms such as weight loss, heat intolerance, fatigue, nervousness, muscle weakness, hypertension, chest pain, rapid heart rate, or heart rhythm disturbances.
