European Commission Approves Shionogi's Zokovea® (ensitrelvir) for Post-Exposure Prophylaxis of COVID-19

The European Commission (EC) has granted marketing authorization for Zokovea® (ensitrelvir) for post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) of COVID-19 in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older. This makes Zokovea the first oral antiviral medicine authorized in the EU for this indication, based on results from the Phase 3 SCORPIO-PEP trial.
