FDA Approves Daraxonrasib, a New Pancreatic Cancer Drug
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Daraxonrasib, an oral drug taken once daily, as the first approved targeted therapy for pancreatic cancer patients. The drug works by inhibiting RAS proteins at the molecular level, a mutation present in over 90% of diagnosed pancreatic cancer patients. Clinical trials showed patients taking Daraxonrasib lived an average of seven additional months compared to those receiving chemotherapy alone.
