International Regulators Urge Advancement of Alternatives to Animal Testing in Medicine Lifecycle

The International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA), with endorsement from the European Medicines Agency (EMA), has issued a joint statement calling on medicine developers, manufacturers, and regulators to accelerate the development and implementation of alternative methods to animal testing throughout the entire lifecycle of human medicines. This initiative aims to replace, reduce, and refine animal use in drug development and regulation globally.
