Oral Giredestrant Combination Nearly Doubles Progression-Free Survival in Metastatic Breast Cancer
A phase 3 study published in the New England Journal of Medicine shows that adding giredestrant, a next-generation selective estrogen receptor degrader, to everolimus significantly extended the time patients with estrogen-receptor-positive metastatic breast cancer lived without their disease worsening. The combination reduced the risk of progression or death by 44%, and by 63% in patients with ESR1 mutations.
