Pembrolizumab-Olaparib Combination Delays Progression in Advanced Ovarian Cancer

Phase III trial findings published in The Lancet Oncology indicate that a combination of pembrolizumab with chemotherapy, followed by maintenance pembrolizumab and olaparib, significantly prolonged progression-free survival in patients with newly diagnosed advanced BRCA non-mutated ovarian cancer. The ENGOT-OV43/GOG-3036/KEYLYNK-001 trial involved 1,367 patients and showed a 32% reduction in the risk of disease progression or death, though increased toxicity was noted.
