The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved atezolizumab (Tecentriq) in combination with a fluoropyrimidine and oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy for the adjuvant treatment of patients aged 2 years and older with stage III mismatch repair deficient (dMMR) colon cancer. Additionally, atezolizumab with hyaluronidase-tqjs (Tecentriq Hybreza) was approved in combination with chemotherapy for patients 12 years and older weighing 40 kg or greater with the same condition. This regulatory action provides a new treatment option for a specific type of colon cancer.
