Magellan Healthcare Postpones 2026-2027 Care Guidelines Update

Magellan Healthcare has announced the postponement of its 2026-2027 Magellan Care Guidelines update, which was originally scheduled to become effective on October 10, 2026. The 2025-2026 Magellan Care Guidelines will remain in effect until a new release date is announced. These guidelines, which incorporate MCG Behavioral Health Guidelines® and Magellan's proprietary clinical criteria, serve as primary decision support tools for their Utilization Management Program.
