WHO Unveils Strategy for Rapid Outbreak Detection by 2030

The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a new five-year strategy for its Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence Hub, aiming for all countries to detect emerging health threats within 24 hours by 2030. This initiative, announced at the World Health Summit, seeks to bolster global health security by preventing outbreaks from escalating. The Hub has already collaborated with 160 Member States and 190 partners since its 2021 establishment.
