Chinese Researchers Report Positive Phase 1 Trial Results for Novel Carbon-Iron Injection Against Resistant Cancers
A new injectable treatment combining tiny carbon particles and iron, named "CNSI-Fe," has shown promising results in Phase 1 clinical trials for cancers resistant to conventional therapies. The study, published in *Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy*, involved 19 patients, with 84.2% experiencing reduced tumor size or halted growth at the injection site. The treatment aims to damage cancer cell membranes using highly oxidizing substances created by the reaction of iron with hydrogen peroxide. Researchers are now conducting Phase 2 trials.
