AI Tool Predicts Cancer Survival Chances from Single Face Photo

Researchers have developed an AI tool capable of predicting cancer patients' survival chances using a single photograph of their face. Published in Lancet Digital Health, the model was trained on over 40 million images, including those of more than 30,000 cancer patients, to provide risk scores that could complement doctors' assessments and guide treatment decisions, especially when medical data is limited.
