The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Alcon's BRYTLY Redness Reliever Eye Drops, expanding the company's over-the-counter (OTC) portfolio. This marks the first nonprescription eye drop in the U.S. containing apraclonidine for temporary eye redness relief from minor irritations. The 0.125% solution is intended for once-daily use in adults and children aged 12 and older, with effects expected to last up to 12 hours.
